Here are a few excerpts of the interaction the Retailer media had with the Nitish Roy, Chief Visionary Officer of Royzez.

Don't you think the e-commerce segment is getting too crowded today? How will you be different from other e-tailers who are already on top of the vertical?

With the current Internet penetration scenario of India, which is growing at a 30 per cent rate every year, the industry foresees its growth as substantial. So, there is a huge scope in the market. Personal manager, instant quality checks, centralised returns for assuring an easy and hassle free shopping experience are our USPs and these differentiate us from others.

The personal manager bit sounds interesting, what is it all about?

Personal manager is the one person, whom you will be interacting with though out. He will be assisting you throughout the purchase journey. So technically, every customer is connected to a specific personal manager every time they place a call.

Talk to us about the challenges that are there in your kind of business.

Delivery, setting up multiple warehouses for quicker delivery, technology enhancement etc are some of the challenges. Quality assurance is also a major task; to be able to make sure the vendors send out the right product of right quality. That is why we have regular quality checks and the returns happen centrally, so that we know if a vendor has to be blacklisted.

The mobile space is coming up in a big way, how you see that affecting your business? Are you also going to launch a mobile App or at least a mobile-friendly website?

Mobile space would help us further the sales considering people are going the mobile way in bulk. We already have a mobile friendly website up and running we'll have an app very shortly.

What are your future plans and how do you plan to expand?

We plan to grow a minimum of 1500 per cent of what we are this year and rest of the plans will be decided on the basis of our achievement within this year. We plan to diversify in 7-8 categories touching every sector possible, with unique offerings in each such domain.

Will you be charging anything to get items delivered the same day?

We are not very sure about charging for the same day delivery, as of now we are delivering the same day. It will be more of a strategic call if we do not charge anything.
