Trent Ltd operates Westside, one of India’s largest and fastest growing chains of retail stores. The company has already made its presence in 33 cities. The stores have been designed by the international design firm, Fitch, and aspire to impart a supreme shopping experience to every customer who walks through Westside’s doors. Westside has a vast variety of departments which include menswear, women’s ethnic and western wear, kids wear, youth wear, accessories and footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and handbags, home décor, household furniture accessories, lingerie, and gifts. .
Marketing & technology tools
Westside invest in CRM and use it actively to drive business decisions through data mining and analytics. Its loyalty programme, Clubwest, has a robust base of over 10 lakh members and provides rich insights for the business. Westside has recently implemented SAP for various aspects of the business. Other technology upgradations include the use of hand help scanners for picking merchandise in warehouses.
Training programmes
All staffs undergo a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programmes on the organisation’s values. Training for customer service and product knowledge are the two main pillars of the training provided to front end as these are the key differentiators for Westside as the format offers private labels predominantly. Functional training is imparted and refreshed on a regular basis for staff to be updated with the evolving standards and processes.
