Cartoon Network is teaming up with the LEGO Group to help support the new LEGO Nexo Knights toy range and the release of the Merlok 2.0 gaming app.
The new deal will see Cartoon Network promote both products across its TV and digital platforms.
Cartoon Network’s partnership will include a 30-inch webdrive, which will introduce children to the new toy range and app, whilst also inviting kids to check out the Nexo Knights microsite.
The site boasts mini-games including Wield the Shield, which gives kids the chance to win a bundle of Nexo Knights prizes, including the new toy range.
Zara Peters, sponsorship and promotions director at Turner Broadcasting, said, “We’re thrilled to be working with the LEGO Group to help launch the Nexo Knights toy range and digital gaming app.
“It also ties in nicely with the recent launch of the brand new Nexo Knights series on Cartoon Network – which we’re very excited about. The partnership comes off the back of a number of successful partnerships of LEGO product launches, especially those for which we air content – such as the highly successful Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Justice League: Batman Be-Leaguered and Mixels.”
In addition, Cartoon Network has also developed online traffic drivers, including banners and pre-rolls, which will run from now until March 4th. The LEGO-animated series currently airs everyday at 6pm on Cartoon Network.
