Swedish car maker Volvo gives their V40 Cross Country the much needed 'Petrol Punch' to substantiate its market presence in India.

The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Auto India (VAI) has made the competition more severe with its V40 Cross Country. The vehicle launched is a petrol variant with a T4 engine.
The newly launched V40 Cross Country gets power from its T4 engine which has got 1.6 GDTi 4 Cylinder systems for a smoother ride. The car comes with 6 mode of speed transmission. The engine generates a good sufficient torque of 240Nm to provide car the enough speed every time driver presses the accelerator paddle.
Understanding the feeling of the Indian consumers, the company has opted for GTDi i.e. Gasoline Turbocharged direct Injection technology in newly launched V40. This GTDi facility enables the 4 cylinder engine to provide good speed and power at very low fuel consumption.
The new V40 is priced very competitively i.e. Rs 27 lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company dealership in the country will be retailing this new launch of Volvo Auto India, V40 from today itself stated Ernberg to reporters.
The company director Ernberg said that they are very excited to bring petrol V40 in India. The company’s V40 Cross Country received a tremendous response from all segments, which forced company to bring the petrol variant in India. The car maker has kept the prices of V40 Cross Country at competitive level so as to give the market leaders a tough time.
This V40 Cross Country is the first car from the Swedish car company to be available in the petrol as well as the diesel version. Last year, the company was able to sell 1200 cars and this year company is looking to sell more than 2000 cars.
An excited Volvo Auto India Director Ernberg told that the company has marked 100 per cent jump in sale for the first quarter of financial year.
Talking about the company’s future plan, the company director told that they have plans of introducing two more luxury models in coming 4-5 months. The brand currently markets 5 Volvo models Volvo S80, Volvo S60, Volvo XC60, Volvo V40 Cross Country and Volvo XC90. 
The Volvo has dealers in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam and Pune to sell its Volvo brand cars. West Delhi and Kolkata will see Volvo dealership very soon, said Ernberg
