Reliance Retail to soon launch its own range of 4G smartphones

Reliance Retail has recently announced that it will be launching its own range of 4G LTE smartphones under the Lyf brand.

A unit of Mukesh Ambani- lead, Reliance Industries Limited has recently announced that it will be launching its own range of 4G LTE smartphones under the Lyf brand. The smartphone will have features like Voice over LTE, Voice over Wi-Fi, HD voice and video calling, said the company in a press statement.
Lyf will have a dual SIM slot and will compete with other domestic and international brands such as Micromax and Xiaomi to grab a slice o the world's fastest growing smartphones market.
Jio Infocom, the wireless telecommunication and data service unit of Reliance is set to launch 4G services in December, this year.
The 4G-enabled phones will soon be available at multi-brand outlets and Reliance Retail stores across India. Reports suggest that the handset could be priced at Rs 4,000 and data services could be offered anywhere between Rs 300-500 per month.
