The Swedish retail conglomerate Hennes & Mauritz AB also known as H&M is all set to open its first store in Bengaluru on March 25, 2016.
The store will be spread across 2 floors encircling a space of more than 30,000 sq ft. This new location will showcase a wide array of the latest fashion trends and timeless basics at affordable prices. The store will offer a wide collection of fashion apparels including athletic wear and lingerie and will cater to women, men, teenagers and children.
Extending his excitement on the launch, Janne Einola, country manager for H&M Hennes & Mauritz Retail, India said that the company feels proud on opening its first store in Bengaluru and bring to their customers what H&M is known for. He also said that here at H&M we always have something for everyone, and we can't wait to welcome all Bengaluru shoppers to this fantastic store.
Continuing its trend, the grand opening of Bengaluru store will have great surprises and customers who line up for the opening day will witness various fun performances, music and H&M goodies. The first three enterers will be rewarded with H&M gift cards worth Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, while the next 500 customers in queue will receive a limited edition H&M goodie bag and gift card worth Rs 1000.
Moving further, the company plans to open up more stores in, Mohali, Noida and Mumbai. With a planned investment of around $115 million H&M aims at opening 50 retail stores in India. Currently it operates 3,900 stores across 59 countries, generating $22 billion in revenue.
With its attractive pricing H&M will surely give tough competition to global rivals such as GAP and Zara as well as various domestic fashion retailers of the country.
