Metro Cash & Carry to open its first wholesale centre in Surat

Germany-based self service wholesaler Metro Cash & Carry has recently announced the opening of its new wholesale distribution centre in Surat, the first in Gujarat. This new wholesaler centre will have the lowest possible price across branded grocery and non-food products in the city.
Commenting on the same, Arvind Mediratta, MD, Metro Cash & Carry India said that Surat is among the one of the savviest and competitive markets in the country, their price guarantee right products at the right prices at Metro.
Metro Cash & Carry, which first forayed into the Indian market in 2003, had established 19 wholesale outlets in 12 cities across the country over the course of 13 years. The wholesaler has a huge customer base in the country, including small and large kirana stores, entrepreneurs, small businesses, offices, companies and institutions, as well as hotels, restaurants and caterers.
