Amazon jumps into Indian B2B space with Amazonbusiness.in

Amazon has come up with a new website Amazonbusiness.in, a B2B online platform open to members dedicated to businesses across categories.

One of the biggest names in eCommerce universe, Amazon has come up with a new website Amazonbusiness.in to help small businesses buy and sell supplies online in a closed space.

This will be Amazon’s exclusive members- only B2B eCommerce website in India. The website can be accessed only after getting an invite. India is the first country outside the US where Amazon is offering such a service. The portal highlights some substantial features such as members-only website dedicated to businesses, thousands of products across various categories, bulk ordering at whole sale price and trusted Amazon experience. These features make it way different and effective than other B2B portals.

Amazonbusiness.in is currently in its beta phase and is operational in Bengaluru as of now. The website is specially designed for businesses such as departmental stores, small offices, entrepreneurs, kirana stores, clinics, hospitals, restaurants etc. Thousands of items including business supplies and product resale can be purchased at wholesale price. Ordering can be done from anywhere and anytime of the day. Website provides a door-step delivery and payment can be done using Amazon’s trusted payment platform.

No doubt Amazon has quickly made space for itself in Indian eRetail but entering into B2B space and tapping a market value of $300 billion would be a different ball game all together as existing players such as Indiamart and Exporters India have dominated the market.
