D'Decor plans to opt for ecommerce platform to spread its wings

Company is in talks with Amazon to launch its variety of products on the e-commerce platform and they should be available for sale online by August.

D'décor, the company best known for home décor and furnishing is planning to expand its reach. To hit the target customers, it is aiming to opt for ecommerce model. Recently, the company has taken its covers off from its lead generation and product browsing app.

Speaking on the company’s new move, Sanjay Arora, Founder and MD, D’Decor said that the company is in talks with Amazon to launch its variety of products on the e-commerce platform. Company’s products should be available for sale online by August. D'Decor opened its first company owned store in eastern India at Kolkata on July 7. The store has had an investment of Rs 2 crore, Arora said.

Company has now designed a new business plan for the next three years. D’Decor will be investing a mammoth sum of Rs 250 crore to launch around 100 stores (company-owned and franchise modles) across the length and breadth of the country.

Commenting on the same, Sanjana Arora, Business Head, Retail, D'décor stated that company shall come up with 11 company-owned store in tier I and tier II cities in the next 2-3 years. Its next east India store is slated to come up at Guwahati by next year. The company is confident of maintaining its present CAGR of 15 per cent in the next fiscal.
