Aiming to boost online bookings and payments, mid-market hotel chain Keys Hotels has recently joined forces with mobile payment turned eCommerc firm Paytm. The partnership will enable customers to manage their booking and payment using Paytm platform across Key Hotels.
Key Hotels claims that currently its gets 25 percent of its booking through its online platform and aims at growing their online segment using the partnership. In today’s time, premium hotel chains in the country and betting big on the online game to lure customers making their website interface more consumer friendly.
Billionaire investor Nicolas Berggruen-owned Berggruen Hotels, which owns the Keys Hotels brand, plans to invest heavily in technology and digitization to help the brand grow across multiple customer segments. The company recently rebranded its overall portfolio and introduced two new brands Keys Prima and Keys Lite to budget travelers respectively.
Commenting on the same, Vikas Chadha, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Keys Hotels said, “At Keys, we aim at consistently delighting our customers by providing the options to choose at every touch point in his/her journey with the Keys brand.”
The hotel chain has planned to sign up around 100 properties in the coming one year under its ‘Keys Lite’ brand and will also expand its other core brands. The company will add 6-8 properties on a yearly basis eyeing to reach as many as 50 hotels (owned or managed) in the next 5 years.
Nicolas Berggruen set up Keys Hotels in India in September 2006 and has invested close to $100 million in the company in the last nine years.
