Myntra, the online fashion arm of Flipkart, has recently introduced a new feature called ‘Try and Buy’ (T&B) to beef up its business and to break the hurdle that restricts the shoppers from getting the feel of the garment while doing online shopping. The T&B option is considered as the biggest game changer especially in the field of online fashion where the buyers always want to have a ‘touch and feel’ of fabric that they are buying.

Over the years, India’s online shoppers’ numbers have increased but in case of fashion apparels, the rate of growth is not that rapid mainly because people prefer buying from offline store more than banking on online companies. The recent study suggests that India’s online shoppers’ data has crossed 80 million but out of these, there are only few who invest their money on fashion. The recent addition by Myntra, can prove as a catalyst for this segment as it has the potential to break the myth.

Adding to the list of services that Myntra offers to its customers, T&B allows for a trial of products such as apparel, shoes and accessories before purchase.

Customers can opt to do so from the comfort of their homes, offices or any other location of their choice. This feature will not only allow for high value purchases to be made online, but also reduce product returns to a large extent. The 30-day return and exchange policy will continue to be in force on products purchased through T&B.
