Offering assistance to sellers for growing their businesses, digital payments and online marketplace Paytm has launched an exclusive programme.
According to the programme, called Paytm Force, some 3,000 executives - trained and certified e-commerce specialists - will provide end-to-end services, including catalogue creation, order fulfillment, complete account management and query resolution. These volunteers will provide assistance at the sellers' doorstep on a preferred date and time to provide services at a subsidized rate.
As per Sudhanshu Gupta, AVP, business at Paytm, they ran pilots in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and it proved fruitful for the sellers. It also creates a job opportunity for the executives who are part of Paytm Force, as they would charge a fee for assisting sellers.
Competitors like Snapdeal and Flipkart also have programmes to pursue sellers on to their platforms. In September last year, Snapdeal started what it called SD Advisor Program, under which personal advisors would help sellers prepare joint business plans, share market insights , bring their business online, train them, guide in range and assortment planning and provide promotion advice.
