Snapdeal, India's leading online marketplace, has gone for a total revamp. This can be marked as the company's biggest repositioning move since its inception in 2010. The development came right at the time when the it is losing its grip on the business; data suggests that Gurgaon-based company's orders have declined drastically.
The current war over dominating the online marketplace between Flipkart and Amazon India has also hampered the business of Snapdeal to a great extent. Its counterpart, Flipkart has been churning up its operations quite friskily hence, leading the race with a big margin.
As per the company new strategies, it will unleash its new logo that will come along with a tag line 'Unbox Zindagi' . The logo will be accompanied with long-standing colour palette of red and blue, giving way to vermello. Snapdeal has roped in London-based DesignStudio to carve the niche project. Snapdeal is banking on the studio as it has already designed a similar exercise for online home rentals venture Airbnb.
Informing about the project to one of the dailies, Kunal Bahl stated that this is actually the beginning to a very long journey. This is not a destination. Being the preferred destination for enabling the achievement of consumer aspirations is something, brand will have to achieve over an extended period of time through consistent execution at each touch point. Snapdeal has to be ready for the next 100 million ecommerce buyers that are going to come online in next five years.”
