Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba has joined hands with Mumbai-based logistics solutions provider Mypacco as part of its Trade Facilitation Center initiative.
The Trade Facilitation Center provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a platform to trade globally by providing a one-stop solution in terms of finance, credit and logistics. It will also help Indian SMEs conduct cross-border trade.
“With the Trade Facilitation Center, Alibaba.com will be able to offer Indian SMEs convenient access to financing, credit and logistics services provided by collaborative partners like Mypacco,” said Bhushan Patil, channel director (India) at Alibaba.com.
As part of the initiative, Mypacco will offer freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, warehousing and transportation to Indian SMEs through the Trade Facilitation Center, the company said in a statement.
“Indian SMEs can now focus on their businesses and Mypacco will take care of the logistics,” said Vinay Bhartia, co-founder and chief executive officer, Mypacco.
