Harneet Singh Rajpal, erstwhile Senior Vice President and Head, Marketing, New Product Development, E-commerce and PR, Domino's Pizza India has joined the Zopper.com as Chief Business Officer. We had reported earlier that Rajpal had moved on from Domino's India.
Rajpal has confirmed the news to AdAge India. He will be reporting to Neeraj Jain, Co-Founder and CEO, Zopper. Rajpal will be looking at sales and marketing function for the brand.
Zopper is a hyperlocal mobile marketplace with operations in over 30 cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Noida and Ahmedabad. The platform has over 250,000 offline and 2,000 online retailers. It helps consumers to find products and check offline prices. It also allows users to search for products across categories and check prices and place an order from nearby stores.
He has nearly 15 years of experience and has worked with several brands in different capacities. He has also won several awards and been a speaker at numerous events.
At Domino's, Rajpal played a key role in leading the brand in India for last ten years. He joined the organization in 2006 as DGM, Marketing and was soon elevated to General Manager, Marketing in 2008. After nearly three years, he was again elevated as Vice President, Marketing.
At Domino's, his mandate was to create it as a strong brand in the minds of consumers present in India and Sri Lanka. Some of the key aspects of his role were P&L management; Topline and Bottomline growth; Brand Strategy; Build and lead E-commerce and M-commerce; Lead cross functional teams across IT, Supply Chain, Operations, Training and other strategic initiatives; Planning a marketing calendar - Brand Campaigns, Product Pricing, National Launches; Analytical Marketing Thinking; Adapting New Age Media such as Digital and Social; New Product Development and Delivery; Public Relation; Market Research, and others.
Rajpal was also the Brand Manager for TVS Motors between 2001 and 2005. He was responsible for Economy Segment 2 wheeler market and launched the brand "TVS Star". His mandate to develop a deep understanding of consumer needs, developing product specification with R&D, developing the Brand Positioning, chalking out the launch strategy, developing brand communication and media planning.
Later he joined Kohler India Corp as the Product Manager for a year in 2005. He was responsible for managing Bathing and VC category. His role involved developing the product strategy including product line up, pricing, positioning, new product development and procurement from various production facilities across the globe for the newly started Indian operations.
