Ahujason's next big thing

Ahujasons Shawl Wale Private Ltd is sighting Rs 200 crore turnover in three years depending on its retail expansion and more product launches. The company was founded in 1979 with the launch of its first store in Delhi.
Ahujasons Shawl Wale (P) Ltd Retail Head Bhuvan Ahuja said that they are targeting Rs 200 crore turnover in three years time as they are expanding their retail network and introducing more products.
While they are known to be a winter-wear firm, they are planning to launch a new summer collection made of organic materials. Apart from having three outlets in India and one in Japan, Ahujasons will open two more stores in the country and consider opening stores in global locations like London and Dubai.
Mr Ahuja said that they are planning to open 3-4 new stores in 3 years and have plans to go pan-India. The brand wants to open two outlets in the next financial year in India and will explore opening outlets in London, Hong Kong and Dubai. Also adding Mr Ahuja said that his company is slow on expansion as it works on a 'company-owned, company-operated' model and most of its products are hand-made, which restricts their availability.
He further said that the firm has obtained antique shawls from all over the world in the past decade and is now looking at producing its antique collection. Adding to his statement, he said his brand has about 25 such antique shawls and is still building their antique collection. They are in touch with some museums across the world to monetise these antique works. Some of the shawls are in the price range of Rs 90 lakh to Rs 1 crore,"
The brand gets about 50 per cent of its total turnover from exports at present and is expecting a change as it is expanding its retail network.
Mr Ahuja said that he expects domestic business to contribute 70 per cent to the total turnover in three years and 30 per cent sales from exports.
Ahujasons sells its high-end luxury products under Prive brand, having a price range between Rs 5,000 to Rs 15 lakh.
