When it comes to luxurious movie-watching experience, no group does it better than PVR Director’s Cut. From a top-notch luxury auditorium, soothing recliners, sound quality, wonderful lightings, on-call concierge services, to gourmet in-auditorium food options including the likes of exquisite sushi spreads and premium popcorns, PVR Cinemas’ luxury arm sure knows how to keep it classy and royal. But this is not the end. Director’s Cut went another mile in stepping up its luxury cinema-experience by teaming up with L’Opéra. This Friday, the PVR’s luxury flagship and one of India’s most loved patisseries and chocolatiers, launched L’Opéra – Salon de Thé by PVR, a new delightful experience at PVR Director’s Cut, at Ambience Mall, in Vasant Kunj.
The much-awaited launch event witnessed the esteemed presence of Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Alexandre Ziegler, together with over 200 select guests, including leaders of the diplomatic, business and artistic communities, as well as prominent members of the press.
What’s on the Menu?
PVR Director’s Cut has always placed a distinct emphasis on curating an exceptional menu for the cinema goers and understanding their expectations for a wholesome experience encompassing both entertainment and hospitality. The L’Opéra - Salon de Thé by PVR continues this legacy.
The new L’Opéra outlet that can accommodate up to 20 guests will stay true to its name and fame, serving the bakery’s signature French desserts along with gobbet of charm and charisma. However, Amit Sinha, Executive Pastry Chef, L'Opera India, informed that this Salon de Thé will also offer 5 exclusive desserts straight out of oven for its customers. “We have introduced 5 exclusive desserts for our PVR outlet. The chocolate passion is a unique dessert with dark chocolate mousse with passion fruit curd, banana milk chocolate brownie and chocolate shortbread; the second one is the caramel and apricot pastry which features caramel mousse with apricot confit, almond dacquoise and almond biscuit; then we have the coloured ones. These have amarelle cherries, chocolate mousse and chocolate almond sponge and a crunchy base; the fourth selection has baileys and hazelnut at the top and three layers at the bottom which is chocolate almond sponge, orange cream and hazelnut mousse; and the final one has vanilla mascarpone mouse and raspberry jelly in the middle and then almond sponge,” he said.
Sinha further talked about the relevance of playing with layers in his desserts collection. He maintained, “We have different layers in our desserts; we have biscuit base which brings crunch, mousse which is soft and then we have tanginess of any fruit which cuts through all the sweetness. These different textures make our desserts interesting.”
