Google’s Android Wear Smartwatch in its final phase; all set to compete with Apple Watch. With an intention to make Android Wear smartwatches compatible with iPhones, Google is close to finish the final technical details of it. If it goes as planned, this move would make Apple Watch facing direct competition from Android Smartwatches.
These Android Wear smartwatches will have features like notifications, missed call alerts, Google Now information, voice search and many more. The watch is designed to properly function with other Google iOS apps, for instance replying to Gmail messages.
The interesting part is that Google’s Android Wear smartwatches are supposed to get a final nod from Apple itself before it lands on App Store. Google and Apple have a history of contentious app approval processes, but if this gets approved by Apple, they would allow the competition to its Apple Watch to increase. Apple watch is slated to release later this month and this doesn’t make sense, since so much is riding on the wearable device being a hit with consumers.
Besides all these approval chaos, it would be interesting to see if Google could really be able to offer a polished service compared to that of Apple Watch. Apple’s devices have an upper hand in this case as they closely tie with iOS.
