Tech giant Apple has recently recoreded a sales growth of 42% in India. With an overwhelming response from iPhone 6 and 6 plus sales, and is expected to touch $1 billion mark by the end of FY 2015.
As per reports, the global electronic market has surged to 40% year-on-year, up from Rs. 4,500 crore generated in FY 14-15. Further, Apple India sold 1.3 million iPhones in India during FY 14-15, a hike of 42% as compared to that of FY 13-14.
Besides, Iphone 6 and 6 plus worked as a catalyst in boosting up the sales and competing in the high-end smartphone segment.
This enormous growth of Apple India has become a big reason to worry for its competitors such as Samsang and HTC. These iPhone sales in India ate into the market shares of other high-end smartphone makers.
