Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, in partnership with France’s Lagadere Active Group, launched ELLE Fashionwear in India on Wednesday. This alliance marks the license agreement between Arvind Lifestyle Brands and ELLE – the world’s largest selling fashion magazine owned by the France-based Lagardere Group.
To begin with, exclusive ELLE boutiques are being been launched in Delhi, Bengaluru and Chandigarh. The flagship stores are located in DLF Place, Saket, and Greater Kailash 1, M Block market, with a boutique in Great India Place, Noida, opening shortly.
Fabrice A Plaquevent, CEO, Lagardere Active Enterprises, said, “While time does not really matter when we talk about attaining targets or expanding, what matters is how we do business. We plan to build step-by-step. To begin with, we are focused as a women’s wear brand, further moving on to kids’ wear and other potential categories. We are here to sign the kids’ wear deal with Arvind Brands soon.” ELLE is set to be present across in exclusive store format and also shop-in-shops.
J Suresh, MD and CEO of Arvind Brands and Retail, shared, “With ELLE, we have ventured into the very first 100 per cent women’s wear venture. The average price point shall be Rs 1,500, going up to Rs 3,500-Rs 4,000. For the ELLE kids’ wear collection, we are targeting the launch of spring/summer 2013.”
