As per Oindrila Sengupta, Co-Founder, Eat.Shop.Love, the design and quality of products have been improved as now they will have everything in-house. She also further elaborated that building a brand from scratch is not a cake walk and all previous product managers were engineers, so now they plan to hire designers as product managers who will understand the fashion product and the apparel industry better.
Eat.Shop.Love was founded last year in July to cater to urban women who can independently select their own lifestyle when it comes to fashion and travel. The online portal claims to deliver 175-200 orders per day, and the plan is to double the figure by the end of this year. Last year, it raised a seed funding of $1 million, and started breaking even a month later.
