Hokey Pokey Ice-creams secures Rs. 5 crore in 2nd round funding

Hokey Pokey brand of ice-creams, run by Drums Food International, has managed to secure Rs. 5 crore in a second round of funding.

The round was led by Country Head of TPG Growth, Vish Narain and Fireside Ventures, a private investment firm. A past investor, Shripad Nadkarni also participated in this round.

This makes the total capital raised by the company to Rs. 15 crore. The details on stakes equity and revenue is undisclosed. The raised funds will be invested to launch its upcoming product i.e. Epigamia, a range of Greek yogurt. The remaining funds will be used to uplift the production capacity, distribution in present cities and the outreach of the brand.

Hokey Pokey currently serves in six major cities of the country including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The brand also has retail franchisee partners such as Godrej’s Nature Basket, Future Group Foodhall, Big Bazaar, Reliance Fresh, Hypercity etc. It also sells through some eCommerce platforms such as BigBasket and Local Banya.

The brand understands the consumer desire and so they are building a more innovative range of lifestyle food products. Additionally, Rahul Jain, Co-Founder at Dr. Moo, joins as the Director and will take charge of all operational responsibilities.
