The leather footwear and garments segment is expected to accrue $12 billion in three years from the present $6 billion.
Mumbai: Tata International is aiming to swell its revenue to Rs 1,700 crore in three years’ time. The global trading and distribution company of Tata Group is expectant of this growth from leather footwear and garments export division.
"We are hopeful of exporting 6 million pairs of leather footwear in FY 2015 and increasing the same to 11 million pairs in three years period. Similarly, our revenue will also increase from the present Rs 800 crore to Rs 1,700 crore in this period," Tata International Global Business Head, Footwear and Leather Garments, N Mohan told PTI here.
The diverse product range from the house of Tata International comprises footwear, finished leather and garments. The company is hopeful to amass 12 billion in three-year period from the present $6 billion.
Currently, the company exports to over 35 countries. It is also the largest exporter of children's shoes from India. Besides, Tata International has a key stake in Move-On Shoes, a leading Portuguese footwear retailer.
