While the entire nation is trying different means of immunity boosting on a daily basis during the Coronavirus scare quarantine period, leading FMCG players along with product companies are not left behind in contributing to this current health trend.

As per report shared by Euromonitor International Ayurvedic companies, such as Dabur India, Himalaya Wellness and Patanjali Ayurved, are witnessing high demand for products such as Chyawanprash, Guduchi, Giloy tablets, Septilin and other immunity syrups, along with vitamin C, fish oils, multivitamins and mineral supplements. Sales boost is expected as consumers shift focus to inner-wellbeing.

Apart from these big FMCG players, many start-up companies are witnessing an unprecedented surge in sales related to immunity boosters.

The start-up scene

 OZiva which pioneers in clean plant-based nutrition has witnessed a high demand for its products. In the wake of the current situation Ms. Aarti  Gill, Co-founder of OZiva says, “with the covid pandemic, people are focusing on their diet, nutrition intake which has led to an increase in demand for plant-based products for staying fit during rains.”

Likewise, Fullife, a sports nutrition supplement has risen fresh funding of INR 50 crores. This investment comes from existing shareholders Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Sixth Sense.
