Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday asked cooperation of Australia in strengthening infrastructure in the state, says a PTI report.
Naidu had a discussion with a delegation led by Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Graham Quirk at the CM's Camp Office, where he explained the "huge" investment potential in the state.
The Chief Minister informed the visiting team about the abundant natural resources, a 1,000 km long coastline and other advantages which enable the state to create wealth.
Naidu said that the focus of the state government was on building basic infrastructure as well as on sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and most importantly, power.
"We still have a few impediments in our way. It is just a matter of time before Andhra Pradesh becomes one of the top three states in the country," said a statement quoting the Chief Minister.
