Moved by the boom in ecommerce industry, Godrej Interio is planning to roll out its own ecommerce platform in India by April, 2017. The aim of the company behind the move is to bring its wide range of exquisitely designed furniture closer to the consumers.
Currently, the company processes its online orders through its tie-ups with Flipkart, Pepperfry and MebelKart. Revealing the information, Bedraj Tripathi, Assistant Vice-Persident, Integrated Marketing, Godrej Interio stated that Godrej Interio, which has entered into a tie-up with Mebelkart, Pepperfry, and Flipkart to serve online customers in the country, has done a three- year-long survey and prepared a roadmap for the purpose. Company will have its own e-commerce from next April.
However, venturing into e-commerce would have no channels-conflicts, the official said.
It will be an advantage for the customers. But brand has planned it in such a manner that it does not affect its channel partners and there is no channel-conflict, added Tripathy. Brand operates through its 56 exclusive stores installed across 18 cities of India and 800 dealer outlets.
