Four-day exhibition showcases over 100 Pakistani brands.
The Pakistan High Commission on Thursday inaugurated its first ever premium Lifestyle Pakistan exhibition at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. During this four-day long exhibition, over 100 top of the line exhibitors from the country are expected to showcase products in fashion apparel, home textiles, furniture, leather goods, home accessories, spices, sports goods and marble handicrafts. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Commerce Minister of India, Anand Sharma, along with Tariq Puri, Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Commerce Minister of India, Anand Sharma, said: “We are delighted and honoured to host Lifestyle Pakistan in India. We see this exhibition as a milestone that will pave the way for further bilateral trade relations between the countries and we look forward to many such associations in the times to come.” He added, “India and Pakistan have to work together to ensure that the South Asian region not only integrates economically, but it also becomes a robust vibrant regional economic community, which has been defining the discourse in economic relationships elsewhere in the world. We are neighbours and share a lot. Then why can’t we do much more and demonstrate to the world that the state of Pakistan and the state of India have decided to open a new chapter, which will be for the betterment of the future generations?”
Day one of the exhibition witnessed key exhibitors like Gul Ahmed, Nishat, Chen One, Bonanza, Hub Leather and Orient Textile Mills showcasing their products. Honey Waqar, Faiza Samee, Maria Bilal and Rizwan Beyg were among the ace designers, who unveiled their collections at the exhibition.
