Perfetti Van Melle India’s iconic brand Mentos has returned to television screens after an extended hiatus, launching its fresh new campaign titled “Yes To Fresh.” Designed to transform mundane, everyday moments into playful, extraordinary experiences, the campaign stars actor Abhay Verma, bringing the fun, fresh energy that Mentos embodies to life.
The new brand film opens in a dreary biology classroom, where students are visibly bored and inattentive. Abhay Verma, playing the protagonist, reaches for a Mentos candy in his moment of boredom. The instant he pops one into his mouth, a refreshing wave overtakes him, signaled by upbeat music and a dynamic shift in atmosphere. Suddenly, the ordinary classroom becomes a vibrant playground of imagination, as Abhay’s outfit brightens with color, walls unfold, and the benches start rotating, creating a lively and humorous scene. His classmates remain oblivious, adding a humorous contrast. Papers fly, a book humorously lands on a student’s face, the professor’s wig goes airborne, and even a skeleton joins the dance. The film ends with the iconic Mentos logo, a reminder of how the brand can turn mundane moments into fun-filled experiences.
