Miniso Opens Zanmang Loopy Animation Character-Themed Store in Singapore

Chinese lifestyle and design-led product retailer Miniso has reopened its fully upgraded store at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore, now featuring the kids' animation character Zanmang Loopy IP-theme. This marks a significant milestone for Miniso as it is the brand’s first Zanmang Loopy IP-themed store globally outside mainland China. Additionally, this store is the first to include a dedicated Miniso Go zone, which offers a range of travel essentials, catering to the needs of travelers passing through the airport.

The reopening has been met with great success, with the store’s sales on 4 July showing a remarkable increase of approximately 1150 percent quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) compared to before the store’s upgrade. This significant boost in sales reflects the positive reception of the new store format and product offerings.

The upgraded store also showcases Miniso’s collaborations with several global IP licensors, including Disney, BT21, Pokémon, Minions, and more. In line with the store’s Loopy theme, the company has introduced its latest Loopy collection, offering a variety of products featuring the beloved animation character. This integration of popular international brands and unique themed merchandise highlights Miniso's commitment to providing diverse and high-quality products to its customers.

Currently, Miniso operates stores in various prominent shopping centers throughout Singapore, such as Lucky Plaza, Vivo City, Nex Shopping Mall, and Jurong Point. The company has ambitious plans to expand further, with new stores set to open in major commercial districts in the second half of the year. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen Miniso’s presence in Singapore and cater to a growing customer base.

Miniso was founded in 2013 by Chinese entrepreneur Ye Guofu and opened its first store in Guangzhou, China. Since then, the company has grown exponentially and now operates over 4,200 stores in more than 80 countries and regions, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Spain, UAE, India, and Mexico. This rapid expansion underscores Miniso's global appeal and its ability to adapt to different markets while maintaining its core values of quality, affordability, and innovative design.
