In a grand celebration of India's shooting achievements, Pernod Ricard India, in partnership with the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), held an elegant felicitation ceremony on August 30, 2024, at Kamal Mahal, ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The event honored the remarkable accomplishments of the Indian Olympic Shooting Team, who earned bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The ceremony was graced by notable sports figures, including Gagan Narang, Olympic medallist and Chef-de-Mission for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and Jaspal Rana, renowned Indian sport shooter and pistol coach. The event also saw the presence of various distinguished personalities from different fields, celebrating the nation’s achievements in shooting sports.

Pernod Ricard India has a long-standing commitment to nurturing talent and fostering sportsmanship through various initiatives. One such program is ‘Raftaar,’ a collaborative effort with Bridges of Sports aimed at developing sprinting talent among underprivileged children. This initiative impacts over 800 young athletes by providing them with rigorous training to enhance their sprinting skills. Additionally, in collaboration with the Mary Kom Foundation, Pernod Ricard India supports promising female boxers from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.

The ceremony also highlighted the achievements of individual athletes, with Manu Bhaker being recognized for winning two bronze medals in both Individual and Team events. Swapnil Kusale was honored for securing bronze in the Individual Rifle category. Sarabjot Singh was celebrated for earning bronze as part of the Team event.

The prestigious event underscored the collective efforts of athletes, coaches, and organizations committed to advancing shooting sports in India. The NRAI, Pernod Ricard India, and Titus & Co., Advocates reaffirmed their dedication to fostering excellence in sports and supporting Indian athletes as they aim for greater success in the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028.
