Range Rover Partners with Wimbledon for 2024 Championships

Range Rover has officially announced its partnership with The Championships, Wimbledon, marking the first collaboration between the prestigious tennis tournament and the renowned luxury SUV brand. This partnership brings together two iconic British institutions, enhancing the grandeur of the summer's premier sporting event.

Known globally as a highlight of the summer, The Championships will now be supported by Range Rover as the Official Vehicle Partner for 2024. This transition from Jaguar to Range Rover extends JLR’s association with Wimbledon to over a decade.

"Range Rover leads by example with breathtaking modernity, peerless refinement, and unmatched breadth of capability, informed by over fifty years of evolution; delivering the most luxurious SUVs for global clients. Every Range Rover is available as a plug-in electric hybrid, with the first fully electric Range Rover due to be revealed later this year," stated Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover Managing Director.

During the tournament, the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid models will transport players, their teams, and officials to and from official venues. These vehicles will utilize on-site charging facilities to maximize Range Rover’s pure electric driving range of up to 120 kilometers.

Reducing vehicle emissions aligns with Wimbledon’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The charging infrastructure at the newly completed Indoor Tennis Centre, powered by renewable electricity, supports hybrid and electric vehicles, contributing to the All England Club’s 2030 net zero operational emissions target.

Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of the All England Club, commented, "We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with JLR with the announcement of Range Rover as Official Vehicle Partner. I am particularly pleased with the inclusion of a significant number of lower emission plug-in hybrid vehicles in the fleet, with a focus on as many journeys as possible being delivered in EV mode. This is another step towards our goal of achieving net zero operational emissions by 2030."

The Championships will take place from 1 to 14 July 2024 at The All England Lawn Tennis Club. This partnership underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, enhancing the experience for participants and spectators alike.
