Continuing its experiment and innovation with leather, House of Da Milano has introduces a new brand called ‘WOOBA’. A relatively newer concept, WOOBA strives to be the ultimate fashion fix for all young consumers. The first exclusive store of ‘WOOBA’ is at Ambience Mall, Gurugram and soon it open its door to various cities and towns.  Sahil Malik, Managing Director, Da Milano sheds light on the new brand. 

Kindly shed light on the inception of WOOBA. What was the rationale behind launching this brand?

We noticed a yearning in the market for quality accessories that are fashionable yet price sensitive hence the idea of a mass oriented label was born. WOOBA is a new concept with a distinctive idea that appeals to the trendy and fashion conscious.How this brand is different from contemporary brands operating in the same space?

Encompassing the Flair of the West, Wooba perfectly blends utility with style for everyday use.

What kind of distribution is planned for WOOBA? Also shed light on the products/categories that would be retailed via WOOBA?

Initially, Wooba will be retailed at standalone Wooba & Rosso Brunello stores. Soon we will be launching exclusive website and initiate dialogue for marketplace presence as well. 

What is the average starting and exiting of WOOBA merchandise? Also shed light on the TG for this brand?

The merchandise ranges between Rs399-Rs8999. For WOOBA we are targeting 18 -35 years Cosmopolitan, young audience who is well versed with Global trends.

How is initial business projection from this brand?

We project WOOBA to hit 10 Crore revenues in first year of launch.  

 Offlate, Da Milano is very aggressive on overseas expansion. Would this brand will also retailed internationally?

International expansion is not on the charts currently for Wooba. We would like to first tap the Indian market to its potential and carve a niche for itself like we did for Da Milano and then take a step forward. 

At last, mention the growth plans of the brand?

We have planned WOOBA to be a 100 Cr Brand in next 4-5 years with multiple retail touch points & exclusive stores in key Tier 1 & 2 cities.  Online marketplaces will be a key distribution driver for rest Tier 2 & Tier 3 towns. WOOBA will carry the trendiest accessories for both Men & Women and will be the 1st choice for shopping great quality products House of Da Milano is known for at pocket friendly prices.
