Horra plans to expand distribution in Mumbai, Gujarat and Pune: Parimal Mehta

How did the brand Horra begin? Also shed light on your journey so far?

Horra is the brainchild of Mr. Parimal V Mehta and Mr. Anant Berlia, of PB Global. Horra was launched to redefine the concept of luxury. Luxury is not always about the price tag, but it is about the priceless experience and feelings that you associate with a brand. 

Horra’s aim is to deliver delightful experiences through high-quality, trendy accessories which are also affordable. Horra is a youth-centric everyday-luxury fashion brand. Its designs embody the culture of fun and spiritedness. Horra was launched exclusively in leading online marketplaces in 2016. The brand has strong alliances with portals like Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM, Snapdeal, TataCliq, The Bag Talk, and Shopclues. 

Kindly shed light on your current footprint in the online and the offline space. Also, going forward what would be your strategy to scale up the distribution? 

Horra watches as well as bags and wallets were initially launched online through major marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, and others. And just a few months back, the brand unveiled India’s new luxury destination, as it launched its own e-commerce store www.horraluxury.com. Though the focus of growth has been the online marketplace. Horra will soon open doors in large format stores. Currently, Horra is present in close to 50 MBOs in Mumbai, Gujarat, and Pune. 

According to you what are the major challenges as far as luxury retailing is concerned? 

One challenge for Horra, being a new brand in this category, is awareness. Luxury customers are known to buy, not products, but brands. They decide based on brand value and accordingly make a purchase. Horra has not established its position in the market yet. 

Are you bootstrapped or have raised some sorts of funds already?

Horra’s parent-company is PB Global, a conglomerate present in different verticals, like chemicals, electronics, warehousing and now fashion

Who do you see as your competition within the same space?

There are several bags brand and several watches brand, but Horra takes pride in being a  complete, lifestyle brand housing both bags, watches and other accessories 

Kindly shed light on your product and categories. Also, shed light on your best performing category? Also, mention your average bill size?

Horra has different categories of product such as men’s and women’s watches, men’s and women’s bags and wallet. All products are proudly made in India, utilizing top-notch materials.  

Bags start Rs. 1000/- and watches start at 2000/-

At last, kindly highlight your growth plans? 

Horra plans to go big this year with its own Flagship store in a prime city in the west zone. Horra also plans to expand distribution in Mumbai, Gujarat, and Pune
