USL is the largest spirit company in India and among the top three spirits companies in the world. Headquartered in Bangalore, USL has a portfolio of more than 140 brands, of which 19 are millionaire brands (selling more than a million cases a year), and has manufacturing and bottling units in 74 locations across the country.

Challenge

As Mahaveer Wines practices open concept of its merchandise, they require a solution that allows them to display the products freely to increase profitability without increasing the risk of theft.

Solutions provided

Ultra•Post acousto-magnetic (AM) Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) detection system and the Ultra•Tag MT were installed in their retail outlets.

Benefits

With easy application to in-store inventory, the multi-purpose Sensormatic Ultra•Tag helps save significant time by protecting stock. Its compact design has eliminated the need for the retailer to realign its shelving. The tag’s easy detachment also saves employee’s time at check-out while helping customers get through check-out points faster.

“In the retail sector, we see the market beginning to pick-up and loss prevention is especially   gaining importance.  We are seeing an increased need for video surveillance, people counting and electronic article surveillance solutions. Additionally, lower real estate rates will lead to expansion of business from national large format retailers.”
