The duo saw tremendous potential in creating an organised retail market and their portal is a one-stop-shop for world class products and quick delivery, at the lowest prices. The key clients for this portal include HCL, Tata Teleservices and Convergys, amongst others.
Aand affter establishing their presence online, OfficeYes now plans to go offline and bring the same level of service to this segment also. As part of that strategy, this e-retailer has recently unveiled its franchise plans on a pan India basis, and an opportunity for entrepreneurs to set up stationery stores under the OfficeYes brand.
“We always intended to go offline, as a large number of Indian buyers still prefer to buy in this manner. So we decided to open up a channel that could reach these customers, and give them the same service levels enjoyed by our online customers. Though we still are leveraging our efficient web technologies and operational infrastructure, but we’re now reaching offline customers too,” said Siddharth Nambiar, Co-Founder and MD, OfficeYes.com.
Moreover, given the importance of creating a retail connect with consumers, these franchise stores will offer the option of purchasing directly or via their website through the laptop or tablet at the store. Entrepreneurs can opt for a single store franchisee or a master franchisee for a particular location.
OfficeYes.com has recently opened a few such stores, and plans to open 50 more stores in 2013-14. “We are keen to expand pan India including metros, tier-II and III cities,” adds Nambiar.
