Introduced IKB - Intactix Knowledge Base (a space planogramming tool from JDA), at HyperCITY and it helps to lower inventory levels in the stores. This package enables goods to be directly brought from a supplier’s factory to our store shelves, and it substantially reduces the need for storage. In the first year of implementation during FY 12, we brought down inventory levels in food and nonfood sections, by 5 and 12 per cent, respectively.

Introduced an order management system integrated with our IT systems and it helps to ensure that goods are delivered to our key customers as per the terms of their contract, with hardly any paperwork. We process nearly 40 per cent of our sales through this package. Apart from that, we have also improved our store efficiency via the master data exchange framework of IBM, and it permits the correct price and bar codes for various FMCG products to be updated in our IT system, before they are displayed on our store shelves.
