Sharma is a firm believer of the theory that mall developers should look at making retail experience rich and work as a team to serve both consumers and retailers. “The need of the hour is to ensure that you stay relevant for the consumer in a rapidly changing retail landscape by offering him or her options to shop at a convenient time as well as provide relevant services,” he says. Opened in 2007 by Select Infrastructure, a joint venture between the Select Group and the Aarone Group, the mall has completed a decade of a revolutionary journey. 
 
However, it is not as if the journey has been a smooth ride all throughout. There have been tough challenges along the way – all of them overcome because of the developers’ attitude of absorbing them as learning experiences and then moving on. Citing an example of how closely societal trends can affect a mall, he points out how people rarely drive nowadays and prefer to use the services of Uber or Ola and how this will, in the future, help accessibility. “There’s an attempt to create an emotional bond with customers.
