Raising the restaurant bar

The journey of Venus K Equipments was flagged off by Dorai Swamy way back during the time of India’s independence in 1947. “He knew it all – welding, tinkering, mechanical, etc. which made him an all-rounder. By and by he founded his own proprietorship firm in 1990 and called it Venus Canteen Equipments. Later in 2017, we rebranded it as Venus K Equipments and registered as a partnership firm,” informs Divakar.

One-Stop Shop
Today, the company is no less than a 20,000 sq. feet factory with a 5,000 sq. feet showroom. Over the period, the company has gained 28 years’ experience and expertise in the food service industry, delivering complete solutions in terms of kitchen design, equipment (both custom-made and imported), ventilation design, interior design and furniture.  “Be it any project in the foodservice domain, we have you covered, which is what makes us a one-stop shop,” says Divakar.

Service Factory
Most importantly, the brand’s focus is on after-sales service. “We manufacture our own kitchen equipment and furniture. We have also partnered with a couple of top-notch brands to distribute their products. Therefore, we can now provide the entire range of services and products, beginning with consultancy to after-sales service,” Divakar says. The company has also integrated a digital strategy through ‘Know Your Kitchen’ that assists restaurateurs and hoteliers to know more about how to choose, design, plan and equip their kitchens and kitchen equipment. Their website www.vceindia.com too has been designed to provide their customers with the most updated information. According to FSSAI norms, the company adheres to Grade 304 to ensure a ‘zero compromise’ attitude when it comes to quality. Their products are available in the range of Rs 9,000 - 20,00,000.

The Philosophy
With extensive knowledge about customer behaviour gained over the decades, the company is in a position to deliver the best of concepts and equipment. But what has also given them an edge in this industry is their philosophy of transparency and trust. “We focus on delivering the best and most cost-effective solutions to our clients. This is more than just selling our products and services. And this is why we have very loyal clients,” Divakar states.

Expansion Goals
The company has successfully tied up with 30 internationally acclaimed brands to cater to the needs of its clients. “We regularly participate in all the industry-related conventions, conferences and trade shows across India to showcase our products and services. This has been a productive strategy and helped scale our retail operations,” Divakar says. The company recently received an award as ‘Emerging Supplier of 2018’ from Restaurant India. “Our plan is to keep moving ahead at this pace and engage in research and development to bring forth the best of equipment and ideas for our clients,” Divakar says.
