Adlabs venture in Malaysia: Acquired controlling stake in Lotus Five Star Cinemas

Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group-owned Adlabs Films Ltd. has opened a new innings in the entertainment world of Malaysia by acquiring controlling stake in Lotus Five Star Cinemas for operating 51 screen cinema there. Currently, the company`s domestic presence is established through 160 screens across the country apart from international network consisting of 220 screens covering East, mid-West and some parts of the US. The company plans an extensive expansion cutting across entire Malaysia to screen films in Indian languages besides mainstream cinemas from Hollywood and China. The company hopes that this venture in Malaysia will consolidate the international presence of Adlabs.
