Aeropostale collaborates with Flipkart, Jabong and Nnnow.com

Aeropostale, youth-focused US retail brand has ended exclusive partnership with e-commerce platform Amazon.in. The brand has collaborated with other marketplaces including Flipkart, Jabong and Arvind Group's omni-channel platform Nnnow.com.

As per the partnership with Amazon, Aeropostale was launched exclusively on Amazon on April 2016 and as the contract has ended now, the brand is available on other platforms.

Sumit Dhingra, COO, Aeropostale (India), said, "This was a mutually agreed partnership with Amazon that led Amazon.in to be our exclusive partner for a year. Now the tenure has got over and we are available on platforms including Jabong, Flipkart besides Amazon."

He said, "As is often the industry practice on exclusives, Amazon Fashion and Aeropostale had a one year tie-up to exclusively sell Aeropostale on Amazon.in, which has now come to an end. Aeropostale continues to sell on Amazon Fashion and is one of our top performing brands. We are actively engaged with the brand in growth plans for future."

Arun Sirdeshmukh, Head, Amazon Fashion said, "As part of our ongoing journey to bring the best of brands to our customers, Amazon Fashion exclusively launched the iconic global performance brand - Under Armour in India. We also recently introduced Marks & Spencer and Mothercare to name a few."

Dhingra further added, "We have partners in all the other markets. Our history is one of humility where we feel the local partners know the market the best. Arvind clearly has its way with the real estate and operation along with bringing tremendous knowledge and expertise to building brands and operating licensed stores in India. We know we are going to make a lot of mistakes but with a strong local partner and the trust we have in each other we would be very comfortable operating in this market."
