After Amazon, Myntra wants to host Under Armour on its platform

Flipkart-owned fashion portal Myntra is in talks to launch US brand Under Armour to its platform, barely three months after e-commerce giant, Amazon signed an exclusive deal with the sportswear label to be its sole partner in India.

According to sources, Myntra is in talks with the sports apparel and accessories maker to shift to its platform since the latter is said to be unhappy with the muted response its products are getting in India.

Baltimore-based Under Armour is popular among youngsters in the US and Europe.

It had risen to challenge established players like Nike and Adidas in North America before hitting some rough patches.

Michael Maglin, Vice-Oresident for omni-channel, Under Armour, said, "We continue to have a strong exclusive relationship with Amazon in India as Under Armour’s sole partner for online selling in the country."

An Amazon spokesperson said, "We continue to have a strong exclusive relationship with Under Armour in India as the brand’s sole partner for online in the country."
