Audi drives to Lucknow

“We opened Audi Kanpur in October last year and in less than four months; we are opening up a new dealer network point in Lucknow. This displays the importance that we attach to the Northern market. The response to our brand and products has been tremendous and we do not want to be lacking in our efforts in any way in reaching out to Audi enthusiasts in the Northern region. With the opening of this new showroom in Uttar Pradesh, we will be able to further strengthen our foothold in the region and capitalize on the increasing demand for luxury automobiles. Located on the Lucknow – Kanpur road opposite to the airport and spread over a total area of 12000 sq. ft., Audi Lucknow showroom has a honeycomb aluminum facade on the exterior. With a display area of nine cars, the showroom will sell the entire model range of Audi cars available in India. Audi Lucknow will also house an Audi Shop and the Audi Exclusive elements, where customers can order customized products and purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise. 

 

“We are very confident of our sales growth despite the flat growth in the industry. Our customers aspire to own Audi vehicles and are willing to pay for the pioneering automotive products that we offer. This is the second showroom inaugurated in 2013 and we plan to expand our dealer footprint to 34 showrooms pan India this year. Further plans include another showroom in Noida and Vadodara among others,” said   Perschke.

Audi Lucknow will also manage the exclusive Audi service facility, located in Sarojini Nagar on Lucknow – Kanpur Road. This facility is spread over an area of 16000 sq ft. and has a capacity to service 10 cars per day in a shift on a total of six bays. The technicians at the facility are trained to ensure world-class services to the customers. 

 

Audi India continues its success story. The luxury carmaker registered a total sale of 931 units in December this year, a strong growth of 136 percent over the same period last year (December 2011: 394 units). The brand with the four rings recorded a 63 percent growth rate YTD with 9003 vehicles sold from January to December 2012, against a budget of 8,000 units. (Jan-December 2011: 5511 units)
