Bella Casa India (Pvt.) Ltd., a part of Rajan Raheja Group, is eying for pan-India expansion and fully exploiting the Rs.900 crore sanitary market growing at 15-20 per cent. The company, in the home improvement or renovation vertical, is hoping to take its footprints from 5 to 200 in the next 10 years. The company is targeting tier I and tier II cities at the initial phase of expansion. Bella Casa caters to the up market segments of working couples in the age group of 25-40 with its high-end imported merchandise. Bella Casa is a large retail format covering an area of 4000 – 6000 sq. ft. The company has the plan to scale up its value retail format ‘Tile Bazaar’. In this context, Ananth Narayan, CEO, BCIL, informs, “We are on an expansion drive as we intend to open two stores a month on an average. At this growth rate we hope to touch 400 stores by 2017”. It, generally, covers an area of 400-1600 sq. ft and stocks tiles, sanitary ware, fittings and accessories. This retail format will aim at the consumers belonging to lower and middle income group. Rajan Raheja group also owns the tiles company H & R Johnson and hopes to leverage on its retail outlets.
