Berger Paints seeks shareholders approval to expand product range

Paint manufacturer, Berger Paints India Ltd., said that it is planning to diversify into new home decor business beside it core product paints.

In a notice to BSE, it said, "The company is considering the business opportunities available in various areas relating to home decor and construction industry as well as adhesives and other related materials where the company's manufacturing facilities and marketing network can be conveniently used."

Berger will be seeking shareholders nod to pave the way to venture into new businesses.

The enabling resolution will contain the entire gamut of products covering almost all products used in home decor.

Berger Paints makes industrial paints and consumer products like metal and wood paints, interior wall coatings, exterior wall coatings and clear coats for wood.
