Boxx.ai Targets 40% Topline Impact

Software firm Boxx.ai said that it was using artificial intelligence to help ecommerce companies realise up to 40% more benefits from their customer engagement activities.

Set up in July 2016, Boxx.ai works with 14 ecommerce companies like AbofCloviaand Nearbuy, and is looking at growing this with the new version of the product. The first iteration allowed ecommerce companies to map customers with the products they are likely to buy, along with the probability of them buying it.

Ajay Kashyap, co-founder, Boxx.ai told ET, "The engagement revenue has increased by 40% in terms of top line impact with the new version of our product and we will be working on taking this up to 60% soon." Over the course of this year, Boxx.ai will also look at expanding operations to one more country – it is in the process of finalizing which one—and add more features to its existing product. Also on the agenda is finding applications beyond ecommerce, in areas ranging from dating and match-making to real estate.

Currently designed for ecommerce firms selling more than 500 products, engagement refers to the number of people who actually click on marketing emails, app notifications or social media ads to purchase a product.

The reason for the increased engagement scores is the degree of personalization Boxx.ai claims to bring in with its algorithms, for instance, customizing 0.5 million e-mailers based on the person’s profile and probability to buy a product.
