Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify enters India

Enables merchants to scale up online business,easily.

Canadian e-commerce platform provider - Shopify has forayed in the Indian market in a partnership with Singapore's SingTel, and it would help to build an online ecosystem which includes tie ups with logistics partner and payment gateways.Shopify will offer its platform to merchants, mainly small and medium enterprises, for Rs 750 per month, and it has already signed a few hundred merchants. In addition, Shopify has tied up with logistics players like Aramax and Bluedart, coupled with the payment gateway providers - PayU and DirecPay. Harley Finkelstein, Chief Platform Officer, Shopify said, “We allow merchants on our platform to build a highly scalable online store rather easily.” Shopify will also offer free advertising credits on Google and Facebook to its merchants.
