CaratLane launches COD

Aims to reach a wider audience across 214 cities.

The Indian consumers are still skeptical of buying online using credit or debit cards, especially the first timers. Most of the consumers prefer buying using the Cash on Delivery mode of payment. Keeping this in mind, the online jewellery retailer, has announced the launch of the Cash-On-Delivery (CoD) facility across 214 Indian cities and towns. The aim behind offering this facility is to get a step closer to a wider audience across country, which has internet access, but don’t use credit or debit cards. It is also expected to play a role in getting the first time online shopper, particularly from tier 2-3 geographies. The cash- on-delivery facility is available for purchases up to Rs 49,000.

Kalaivani Sadagopan, Sr.Vice President, said, “With the nation-wide launch of our CoD facility, we expect to reach out to the growing number of shoppers across the country who have the means and aspiration to shop online but have not been able to for various reasons. I am confident that the idea of shopping for exclusive high-end jewellery from the comfort of their homes, will appeal to most.”
