Cinemax targeting Rs 200 cr revenue; plans expansion

Cinemax, a multiplex chain in India, said it is targeting revenue of Rs 200 crore this year and aiming to increase the count of its screen to at least 140 nationally. 

"We will be touching 100 screens within the next 15 days from the present 94 with launches at Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Baroda. After that, 40 more screens are likely to be added this year," Cinemax India Ltd Senior Vice President Devang Sampath said. 

Cinemax is planning to open two multiplexes in Bangalore and one in Hyderabad this year. “We are also open to exploring other cities in Kerala,” he added. Cinemax has multiplex in Kochi.
