Home Solutions India Ltd., a wholly-owned home retail subsidiary of Pantaloon Retail India has recently opened Home Town in Kolkata. The store, which spreads across an area of 2 lakhs sq ft, offers a diverse array of home improvement and home making merchandise. Regarding the launch of Home Town in Kolkata, Mr Kishore Biyani, CEO, Future Group commented, “We have always shared a special emotional connect with the Kolkatans and this HomeTown store is an affirmation of our faith in this city.” Mahesh Shah, CEO, Home Town stated, “We believe Home Town will revolutionize the way Kolkatans shop for their homes. Home Town`s promise to customers is a convenient shopping experience, where they can get value as well as lifestyle products, across a wide range of categories, all under one roof. The store has a good mix of products for budget-buyers, aspirational buyers and lifestyle buyers, with an underlying principle of keeping traditions alive in a contemporary world.” As declared, this Home Town store is almost double the average size of other stores of the retail chain. The store also provides other services like providing end-to-end solution to help the customers bring their dream home to life, exhibition that would have 180 live displays consisting of 30 living room settings, 10 dining room settings, 25 kids room settings, 30 bed room settings, 50 kitchen settings and 35 bath room settings, etc. It also showcases products like sofa sets, dining tables, beds, kids furniture, kitchen fittings, bathroom fittings, furnishings, mattresses, paints, tiles, electrical fittings, decor lighting, plywood, and consumer durables and electronics (through eZone shop-in-shop).
