Club Factory, the Chinese e-commerce platform, has become the third largest online shopping app in terms of monthly active users in India since June 2019. The company’s growth is driven as it focused on local SMEs.
Club Factory has also retained the No. 1 rank in Google Play Shopping App category.
The company claims to have on-boarded more than 5,000 sellers already. This comes two months after announcing its scale-up strategy with plans to on-board over 10,000 sellers in 2019.
Club Factory has also launched a new warehouse in Mumbai in order to meet increased demand and ensure faster product delivery. Currently, it has three warehouses and will be setting up more.
Vincent Lou, Founder and CEO, Club Factory, said, “India has been a rapidly growing market for the company and currently 70% of the orders are executed from India SMEs. After adopting the local marketplace strategy, the total order volume has significantly increased by over 100% since the beginning of this year.”
“After witnessing rapid growth and success in India, we are now looking forward to an era of FAC (Flipkart, Amazon, Club Factory) to be the future of India e-commerce market. Our goal is to facilitate a fair marketplace where both the sellers and buyers are benefitted. We are further empowering local SME’s in India with our 0% commission strategy and are also making a significant investment in the ecosystem to meet higher consumer demands,” Vincent added.
